Hi, I'm Angus. I'm a runner who enjoys the trails but also races on the road, including Hyrox events. I dabble in most distances, with a preference for half-marathon to ultra. I've always had a passion for the mountains with a background in teaching winter sports and am now an Osteopath focused on getting people more active. I'm 52.
What inspired you to give our products a try?
I was already aware of the benefits of caffeine but don't like coffee! I had tried various gels with caffeine in events and training, but they didn't always agree with me, especially on long runs.
Caffeine Bullets made sense for a quick effect in the latter stages of a race or for those early morning workouts when it was a struggle to get started, juggling a busy family and work life.
Having initially tried Caffeine Bullet, Ginger Roars were the obvious next option for a little lift in the morning or towards the end of a long day. T
he Brain Bullet is interesting; it does as it says on the tin, allowing you to get through a workday, especially when that mid-afternoon slump occasionally occurs.
Finally, I bought some Electro Bullets as I was looking for an alternative to typical gels, something easy to consume, effective, and practical to carry.
How did you find the taste and ease of use of our products? What do you typically use them for and why do you prefer them to alternative products?
The effectiveness is immediate. If you're looking for a boost to get to the finish of a long race, then the Caffeine Bullet will do that.
If it's to maintain electrolyte levels, then the Electro Bullet chews are the ones for that, and these can be used easily throughout a race, event, or training without an issue.
Some gels require a substantial amount of water to be consumed, which isn't always ideal.
How has Performance Bullet played a part in your journey to smash your personal bests? (this can be inside or outside of sport) How did it make you feel to smash your personal best?
Performance Bullet has helped my training become more consistent. It's also good to know that there is a range useful to get you through your day, which can be as tough as the training.
I've set my sights, since returning to road running, on getting PBs that I haven't thought about for many years, and it seems to be working in the half-marathon; next year, it's the marathon.
In July, Electro Bullet chews did their job well during the Snowdonia Trail Marathon, which, due to the high temperatures and lack of water, was cancelled at mile 20.
A fellow runner who was suffering from dehydration and heat took one of the chews, which seemed to give immediate benefits, and he was able to continue until we could get to another water station, showing how easily they can be consumed and used in practice.

For me, it's not so much a single PB but more about maintaining an active lifestyle that involves regular training for various events.
Exercise and movement are good for us! When we have a bad day, don't exercise, or feel low, it has an impact on everything we do, whether at home or at work.
